Keating, Mickey

Born in Winnipeg, this defenceman played in the MJHL in 1949-50 with the Winnipeg Canadiens. He played on four IHL Championship teams, Cincinnati in 1953 and 1954 and with St. Paul in 1960 and 1961. He was also selected to the IHL All-Star team in three of those four years. He was a member of the 1956 Winnipeg Warriors who won both the WHL Championship and the Edinborough Trophy. Mickey Keating scouted for the Minnesota North Stars and Atlanta Flames, was Coach and G.M. of the Flin Flon Bombers and was an Assistant General Manager with the New York Rangers.
