Morrison, John (Crutchy)

Born in Selkirk, this right/left winger played his early hockey in Selkirk and, in 1916, was a member of the 61st Battalion, Allan Cup champions. He played for Edmonton in the 1923 Stanley Cup final when they lost to Ottawa. In 11 years of pro hockey he played 339 games, scored 80 goals, with 39 assists for 119 points. In 1926 "Crutchy" Morrison played 18 games in the NHL with the New York Americans.
