Boyko, Darren
Date of Birth: 1964-01-16Born in Winnipeg, this centreman captured the MJHL scoring title in 1981 with the league champion St. Boniface Saints and was 1983 WHL's Most Gentlemanly Player award winner with the Winnipeg Warriors. He spent two years at the University of Toronto before deciding to play in Finland with the Helsinki club from 1985-86 to 1995-96. He played 509 games in Europe over a 12-year period and recorded 175 goals, 253 assists and 428 points. Darren Boyko made the NHL in 1988-89, playing one game with Winnipeg Jets.
