Born in Winnipeg, this right winger played junior with the 1948-49 Winnipeg Canadians and turned pro the next season with Victoria who won the PCHL title in 1951. He was also on two other WHL champion teams, Portland in 1965 and Victoria in 1966. In 9 NHL seasons he played 630 straight games; he had 189 goals, 202 assists, 391 points. He played his 1,000th consecutive pro game in 1966. In 1957 he won the Lady Byng Trophy. Andy Hebenton played 1735 pro games over a brilliant 26 year career.
