Born in Winnipeg, this right-winger played junior hockey with Columbus Club in 1932 & 1933, senior with the Winnipeg Falcons in 1934 and turned pro with Detroit in 1935. He was on the 1936, 1937 and 1943 Stanley Cup winners while with Detroit. Modere "Mud" Bruneteau scored the only goal in the longest NHL game ever played on March 24, 1936. His NHL record is 411 games, 139 goals, 138 assists, 277 points.
