Rendall, Tom

Born in Winnipeg, this centre played for the 1951 Memorial Cup finalist and 1952 MJHL champion Winnipeg Monarchs. From 1954-57, with the University of Michigan, he was on two NCAA championship teams, an All-American, an All-Conference All-Star and the only player in the 60 yr. history of NCAA hockey named to three tourney all-star teams. In 1997, he was named one of the top 21 players in the First 50 years of NCAA tournament history. He went on to play for the British Hockey League champion Brighton Tigers in 1958 where he was the league's rookie of the year and scoring champion. He returned to Canada and played 15 years of senior hockey. He was with the Allan Cup finalist Winnipeg Maroons (1961) and won Allan Cups with the Spokane Jets (1970& 72). Rendall passed away in Spokane, Washington.
