Defence. Born in Winnipeg. This defenceman played 7 NHL sea sons from 1934 to 1940 with Ottawa, St. Louis and Detroit. He was a member of the 1936 and 1937 Stanley Cup champion Detroit Red Wings. Ralph "Scotty" Bowman scored the first NHL penalty shot goal on November 13, 1934 against the Montreal Maroons.
