REG ABBOTT

Born in Winnipeg, this centre played for the Brandon Wheat Kings 1949 MJHL Champions, Abbott Cup champions and Memorial Cup finalists. He was the 1950 MJHL scoring champion and a member of the first all-star team. Abbott played four pro seasons, which included a PCHL championship with Victoria Cougars. He played three NHL games with the Montreal Canadiens. Abbott went on to play senior hockey for nine seasons with the Windsor Bulldogs and then the Winnipeg Maroons, Allan Cup Finalists twice and Allan Cup Champions in 1964. His final season was 1965 with the Maroons and Canada's National Team.
