Lyon, Pat

Born in Winnipeg, "Pat" Lyon was manager of the junior Elmwood Maple Leafs from 1937-1940 and owned and operated the Winnipeg Monarchs Hockey Club from 1941 to 1961. His underdog Monarchs won a Memorial Cup in 1946 in a thrilling seven game series over Toronto St. Mike's. The series was seen by 105,000 spectators at Maple Leaf Gardens.
