Ridley, Mike
Date of Birth: 1963-07-08Born in Winnipeg, this centreman played in the MJHL with the St. Boniface Saints and held the record for the most goals in a season (91) and most points (191) set in 1982-83. He played two years with the University of Manitoba Bisons in 1984 and 1985, was CIAU Player of the Year in 1984 and First Team All-Star both years.
Mike Ridley went on to a 12-year NHL career with the New York Rangers, Washington Capitals, Toronto Maple Leafs and Vancouver Canucks. He scored 292 goals, 466 assists for 758 points in 866 games. He finished his pro career back home with the Manitoba Moose of the IHL.
