While with the Boston Bruins, this right winger acquired the nick name "Sudden Death" after the 1939 playoffs with the New York Rangers when he scored three over time winning goals as the Bruins sidelined the Rangers. Mel Hill played 9 NHL seasons with Boston, New York Americans and Toronto and finished his career with 323 games, 89 goals, 109 assists 198 points and three Stanley Cups.
