Born in Winnipeg, Max Pilous was a dedicated hockey volunteer. For almost thirty years Pilous coached teams in the Weston area. He also coached the MJHL St. Boniface Canadiens. Max Pilous was Equipment Manager with the 1976 World Hockey Association's Avco Cup champion Winnipeg Jets.
