Laurie Boschman
DOB - June 4, 1960
Born in Saskatchewan, Laurie Boschman grew up in Brandon, Manitoba. Joining the Brandon Travellers of the MJHL for the 1976/77 season he had 57 points in 47 games. Boschman joined Brandon Wheat Kings in the WHL where his final year ended with 149 points in 65 games and 215 penalty minutes. Toronto Maple Leafs chose Boschman in the 1st round of the 1979 NHL Entry Draft. He was traded to Edmonton Oilers in 1982 and shortly after to the Winnipeg Jets in 1983. In Winnipeg, Boschman would enjoy his most successful years as a tough two-way centre. In 1990, he was traded to New Jersey Devils before ending his NHL career as captain of Ottawa Senators in 1992-1993. Laurie Boschman is one of 16 NHL players to record over 500 points and over 2,000 PIM.
