Born in Portage la Prairie, this left winger played on the 1942 Portage Terriers, Memorial Cup champions. He served in the Canadian Armed Forces during World War II and played a number of games in the Service League and also played in 62 NHL games with the New York Rangers. His 11-year pro career totals were, 661 games played, 344 goals, 330 assists and 674 points. He was selected to the AHL First All- Star team in 1946, the USHL Second All-Star team in 1949, and the PCHL First All-Star team in 1951 and was the WIHL scoring champion in 1955.
