Date of Birth: 1963-06-14Born in Winnipeg, this defenceman played junior for St. James Canadians (1979) and Notre Dame Hounds (1980). In 1981, with the SJHL champion Prince Albert Raiders, he was rookie of the year, a first team all-star and Canadian Junior A player of the year. At the University of North Dakota, he was a second team WCHA all-star and was named to the NCCA all-tournament team (1982) and a first team all-star and a NCAA West All-American (1983). He represented Canada nine times in international play. He suited up for 1280 games and recorded 639 points in a 21-year NHL career with New York Rangers, Hartford, Calgary and Buffalo. An assistant coach with the Sabres at the time of his induction, he now joins his brother Steve in the Manitoba Hockey Hall of Fame.
