Born in St. Boniface, this right winger played in the MJHL with the 1936-37 Winnipeg Falcon-Rangers. He turned pro the next season with the Duluth Zephyrs. He played 783 games over a 17 year career with teams in Omaha, Indianapolis, Quebec City, Sherbrooke and Milwaukee recording 313 goals, 318 assists for 631 points. Ed Bruneteau played 181 games with Detroit Red Wings in his NHL career with 40 goals, 42 assists for 82 points. He played on the 1944 Allan Cup champion Quebec Aces and the 1951 USHL champion Omaha Knights.
