Winnipeg's Duvie Westcott has enjoyed success at every level of hockey that he has played.
Shortly after winning a Winnipeg High School championship with St. Paul's Collegiate, he was called up to the MMJHL Charleswood Hawks in time to be part of another title.
He would leverage his excellent play with the MJHL Winnipeg South Blues into a spot with the 1997/98 University of Alaska/Anchorage in the WCHA.
The following year he'd move to the USHL, winning a Clark Cup championship with the Omaha Lancers before returning to the WCHA with St. Cloud University.
After 2 years with St. Cloud and a WCHA title along with an all-star selection in 2001, Westcott was signed by the NHL Columbus Blue Jackets as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2001.
Assigned to the AHL Syracuse Crunch, his solid play would lead to over 6 seasons with the Blue Jackets, playing in 201 career NHL games, scoring eleven goals and 45 assists for 56 points while compiling 299 penalty minutes.
During the 2004/05 NHL lockout, he played with JYP in Finland's top league.
Returning to Columbus for the 2005/06 season, he would head to Europe after the 2008 season, signing a one-year contract with Dinamo Riga of the Kontinental Hockey League. The following season he signed a one-year contract with Dinamo Minsk of the KHL.
In 2009, he'd earn an all-star selection and the Spengler Cup tournament with Dynamo Minsk, before moving to the Swiss National League A for the following two seasons, playing with the ZSC Lions and Kloten Flyers.
In 2012, Duvie Westcott joined the Hamburg Freezers of the German DEL league for 3 seasons, while lacing up to represent Team Canada for 2 tournaments.
Duvie Westcott would retire from hockey in 2015.
