Born in Winnipeg, this defenceman played junior with his hometown Monarchs. He had an 18 - year pro career, 10 of which were in the AHL where he played 550 games and won the 1949 AHL championship with Providence. He played with Winnipeg Warriors, 1956 WHL champions and won 1960 and 1961 IHL championships with St. Paul Saints. He also helped the Winnipeg Maroons win the 1964 Allan Cup, and enjoyed a 20-year NHL scouting career for New York Rangers and San Jose Sharks.
