Bonar, Dan

Born in Brandon, this centre played five years of junior hockey in Manitoba. He was with the 1973 Portage Terriers, MJHL Champions and Centennial Cup winners and Brandon Wheat Kings, 1977 WCHL Champions. He scored 75 goals and 125 points for Brandon that season. In 1978, Bonar was IHL Rookie of the Year, MVP and was on the first all-star team with Fort Wayne Komets. He played six seasons in the AHL and three in the NHL with Los Angeles Kings. After retirement, Bonar coached in the MJHL and MSHL and was involved in minor hockey in Winnipeg.
