Bornin Solsgirth, this centreman/left winger was rated by many as one of the best amateur hockey players in Manitoba during the fifties.In 1945 he was a member of the Provincial junior "B" champions, Foxwarren. He played on two Western Canada Intermediate championship teams with the Dauphin Kings in 1952 and 1954 and won the "Big Six" scoring title in 1953. Bill Murray was selected MVPin 1954.The city of Dauphin andits fans honoured him on February 11, 1955 to mark his 250th goal.

He is also a member of the Manitoba Baseball Hall of Fame.
