Born in Winnipeg, this defenceman played two NHL seasons with New York and the Brooklyn Americans. In 15 AHL seasons he played 859 games, had 51 goals and 171 assists, for a total of 222 points; and was a Second Team All-Star in 1956. Andy Branigan won AHL Championships with Hershey Bears in 1947 and Providence Reds in 1956.
