GERRY HART January 1, 1948 – May 12, 2023
Former Flin Flon Bomber Gerry Hart, an Honoured Member of the Manitoba Hockey Hall of Fame, has passed away at the age of 75.
An undersized and gritty defenseman, the native of Flin Flon, Manitoba, played 15 NHL seasons, starting his career with the Detroit Red Wings in 1968/69. Selected in the 1972 NHL expansion draft by New York, he would toil for seven seasons with the Islanders, before he was chosen by the Quebec Nordiques in the 1979 NHL expansion draft. He would finish his NHL career with the St. Louis Blues in 1982/83.
The Hart family requested donations to the Clark Gillies Foundation, along with the Unsung Siblings Foundation and Pat LaFontaine's Champions in Courage Foundation.
