Born in Winnipeg, this left winger was on 3 provincial championships with the Winnipeg Monarchs. In 1940 Chicago sent him to Providence AHL for first pro season, 56 games, 12 goals, 21 assists 33 points. He wore an RCAF uniform from 1941-45 playing against NHLers in the Armed Services League. He won a USHL championship in 1946 with Kansas City. In 1948 he re turned to amateur playing in the Maritimes. He was playing coach of the Dauphin Intermediates, the 1954 Western Canada champions. Paul Platz also coached the Winnipeg Rangers and Monarchs
