Low, Ron
Date of Birth: 1950-06-21Born in Foxwarren, this goaltender played with the Winnipeg Jets of the WCJHL, and the Dauphin Kings, who won the MJHL title in 1969. He went on to enjoy a 12-year NHL career (382 games) with Toronto Maple Leafs, Washington Capitals, Detroit Red Wings, Quebec Nordiques, Edmonton Oilers and New Jersey Devils. While with Kansas City of the CHL in 1978-79, he was selected to the First All-Star Team and was also the recipient of the Tommy Ivan Trophy as the CHL MVP. Ron Low went on to coach in the NHL with the Oilers and New York Rangers.
