Born in Portage la Prairie, this left winger was with the 1946 Memorial Cup champion Winnipeg Monarchs. He played in the NHL with Chicago in 1951. He was a USHL First Team All-Star in 1949-50 with the Kansas City Pla-Mors. He also played in the PCHL and WHL. In 843 games, he scored 485 goals (second all-time), 359 assists, 844 points (ninth all-time). He was a PCHL First All-Star Team in 1952. Gord Fashoway was also a WHL Second Team All- Star four times and won a WHL championship with Portland in 1961.
