Born in Campbellford, Ontario, Dr. William F. Taylor was President of the Manitoba Amateur Hockey Association (Hockey Manitoba) in 1912-13 and Honourary President from 1916 to 1934. He was the first President of the Canadian Amateur Hockey Association (Hockey Canada) in 1914. Dr. Taylor was an excellent administrator and one of the pioneer builders of hockey in this province.
