Born in Winnipeg, this centreman played junior in his hometown with the 1937 Memorial Cup champion Monarchs. He played 4 NHL seasons with the Toronto Maple Leafs, which was highlighted when he scored the Stanley Cup winning goal in 1942. He then served 4 years in the Canadian Forces during World War II. After the war Pete Langelle returned to spend 5 more seasons with the Pittsburgh Hornets of the AHL.
